View Along the Great River Road - Landscape Painting - Available

This landscape painting was created from a photograph I took while driving home one night from my Elsah Illinois art gallery. I couldn't resist reaching for my camera and pulled over to snap this beautiful sunset. The biggest challenge for me with this painting was to recreate this dramatic cloud formation without making the clouds look heavy. I took my time and worked until I got the desired effect. This landscape painting is framed.

This landscape painting was created en plein air. I worked on it outside during the heat wave for two days and then took it to my studio and worked on it another two days. I did not use any reference photos for this painting. This landscape painting is framed.

Broadening my Scope 

I have recently put some of my paintings in Art Trends Gallery, 703 Long Rd, Ste 1, Chesterfield, MO 63005. For anyone who works in West County or shops at Chesterfield Mall I hope you will stop by and see my work there. Of course I would love to have more of you stop by my gallery in Elsah and see the new work.


Giclee Prints, Photographs, and Art Cards

For those who would enjoy a new piece of art on their wall but whose budgets won't allow that, I have reasonably priced giclee prints of many of my originals, including paintings that have sold. I also have a number of reasonably priced photographs. Hallmark doesn't need the money you spend for the occasional cards that you purchase. Why not spend it in Elsah? I have a nice selection of art cards that are blank inside so they can be used for any occasion or event.

Custom Framing is Now Available at Fishback Gallery

Some of you have taken advantage of the custom framing services available at the gallery and I truly appreciate your support.

Please bring in anything that needs a frame or mat and frame. Maybe you have some posters or photographs you have been intending to display but haven't got around to having them properly matted and framed. I can help you select matting and framing that will compliment the work.

 

Oil Painting Class

I've been asked by a number of people if I will be teaching any classes and so I'm compiling a list of people who would like to take a class.
